This arrangement lightens the piano part of the usual orchestral reduction by giving to the clarinet the prominent role it has in the original version as well as other interesting lines from the woodwinds. The result yields a satisfactory and well-balanced rendment of this piece for all three performers.

The coloratura soprano range goes from C3 to D5. The clarinet part is in Bb. A transposed score one minor third lower is also available (soprano range from A3 to B5, and clarinet parts both in Bb and A).
